The Mountfield SP46 self-propelled mower is a step up from the ‘42’ models with a 46cm cutting width, power drive and steel chassis. The steel deck is hardwearing and easy to maintain. Powered by a 4-stroke Mountfield petrol engine the SP46 will be powerful yet economical to run. Although this is an economy model the 4 wheeled Mountfield SP46 has many great features including folding handles, single point cutting height adjustment and 60L fabric grass bag. The SP46 is a power driven or self-propelled lawnmower with a fixed single speed designed for small to medium lawns of approx. 40m x 40m. Choose your ideal cutting height from the 6 settings which can be adjusted from 22 – 65mm. Start at the highest setting (65mm) then work down to the lowest (22mm) for the best cut and finish to your lawn. The cutting height is adjusted from a single point so is quick and easy. You can get even greater versatility from the mower by fitting the mulch plug. Once the plug is fitted into the rear of the machine the grass will be cut into extra fine pieces which are blown down onto the lawn. They will virtually disappear and be absorbed into the soil. A bottle of 4-stroke engine oil will be included with the mower to get you started. You then only need to fill with fresh petrol and off you go. Always use fresh petrol in your engine as it can begin to go stale within 4 – 6 weeks. Stale fuel will affect the performance and running quality of the engine and can stop it working altogether. Only buy as much as you need and don’t store big quantities. Alternatively mix your fresh petrol with a fuel additive which can keep it fresh for up to 3 years. These additives won’t revive stale fuel so you need to mix together with the fresh petrol before you add to the fuel tank.Specifications
